The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Has Arrived

Aberdeen Chrysler Center is happy to announce that the much-anticipated 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is now available on our lot!

Rumors about a revitalized Pacifica started some time ago and picked up steam before eventually being confirmed by Chrysler. The Pacifica will replace the outgoing Town & Country in the Chrysler lineup moving forward.

Here at Aberdeen Chrysler, we, too, have received a ton of interest about the all-new Pacifica. With so much buzz going on around the it, we wanted to take a moment and address some of the intrigue.

The easier approach might actually be to look at what’s not new. The all-new Pacifica was completely redone. Top to bottom. Inside out. In doing so, Chrysler produced a true gem and once again raised the bar in its class.

The Chrysler Pacifica’s new unibody structure provides stiffer foundation, which in turn provides sedan-like quality, a one-of-a-kind in its class. Comparatively, the Pacifica is far more responsive and is much more nimble than larger competitors like the Toyota Sienna.

The exterior was also completely redone. Gone are the days of the old-school minivan feel. Hello, new school. The wheelbase remains the same, but engineers shortened the front overhang and lengthened the rear one, giving the Pacifica a more rectangle shape.

Likewise, the corners have been rounded and side-view mirrors are now body-mounted. While minivans aren’t designed to be elegant, all in all, the Pacifica has taken leaps and bounds past the competition in terms of overall appearance.

Available in both a standard gas model and a hybrid, the Chrysler Pacifica is set to produce top-of-class fuel economy in either setup. The gas engine is powered by a 3.6L V6 engine that pushes out 287 HP and is rated for 18 city/28 highway MPG.

So how did Chrysler do it? Simple, it hit the gym.

The all-new Chrysler Pacifica shed over 250 pounds from the outgoing Town & Country. Chrysler achieved the weight loss by using more aluminum in key places, such as the sliding minivan doors, while also redesigning the basic frame.

At 4,315 pounds, the Chrysler Pacifica is the lightest minivan on the road today.

Any parent can attest that entertainment options are of the importance on any road trip. Rest assured, no minivan will match the Pacifica in this department.
Highlighted by the all-new Uconnect Theater system, the Pacifica has two 10-inch touchscreens built into the backs of the front seats, allowing passengers to enjoy their favorite Blu-ray movies, or even connect to a game system, smartphone or tablet via HDMI or USB ports.

Passengers can watch the same movie on both screens. They can watch different movies on the screens at the same time. Or they can even watch the same movie at their own pace.

While it’s easy to get excited about all the new features in the Pacifica, it’s important to remember that Chrysler’s commitment to safety as its top priority hasn’t wavered. Every Pacifica comes equipped with a standard rearview camera, as well as available safety features like include forward collision warnings with automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, 360-degree top-down camera, rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts and lane departure warnings.

For families looking for the absolute best in fuel economy, performance, features and safety, the all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is the new standard in its class.
