Toby Doeden took over the reins of Aberdeen Chrysler as the General Manager in 2011. His longstanding commitment to the company’s success was realized through several promotions after joining the company in February, 1997. After being hired as a sales consultant, Toby quickly rose through the company as Cartiva manager, sales manager and eventually general sales manager, where he served for five years prior to taking over as GM.
In his position, Toby oversees every aspect of the company and strives to keep Aberdeen Chrysler the market leader in Aberdeen and northeast South Dakota, while maintaining a high level of customer and employee satisfaction. Toby operates on a daily basis under Aberdeen Chrysler’s philosophy of customer enthusiasm, employee satisfaction, financial performance, marketing effectiveness and on-going improvement.
When asked what his favorite part of Aberdeen Chrysler is, he said there are way too many to list, but he narrowed it down to the overall daily challenge of trying to find ways to improve the overall performance of the company. He also enjoys getting the opportunity to train and mentor a large group of people to help them achieve their professional goals within the organization.
Prior to joining Aberdeen Chrysler, Toby and his wife, Elizabeth, were partners with his parents in a paint and home décor business.
Outside of work, Toby enjoys traveling, spending time with his family, grand-dogs and attending about various sporting events.
Toby and Elizabeth have four kids: Jackson (25), Josie (24), Jennie (21) and Johnny (20); dogs: Bruno, Buddy, Ruby and Patty; and cats, Saint, Georgie and Hank.
Tony Emery has been at Aberdeen Chrysler for 20 years and has climbed the ranks to general sales manager. In his role, Tony manages and executes the day-to-day operations of the sales department. Tony also hires and trains his staff and helps make sure every customer is taken care of to the highest possible standard. Prior to general sales manager, Tony was in sales for three years, was the inventory and finance manager, and was the sales manager for seven years.
What Tony enjoys most about working at Aberdeen Chrysler is seeing his team succeed, grow and become leaders at work and in the community. He also loves the team atmosphere that ensures every customer is taken care of every time.
Tony graduated high school from Ipswich, SD. He joined and served in the United States Army for four years and then began his career in the automotive industry in Colorado before returning to the area. Tony and his wife Sandy have two daughters, Taryn and Peyton. Outside of work, Tony enjoys golfing and spending time with his family, along with cheering on his beloved Boston Red Sox and Denver Broncos.
Jason Holm joined the Aberdeen Chrysler Center team in 2012 as a Service Advisor. Jason has worked in the retail service industry as a grocer for a considerable amount of time before taking a position as a Service Advisor. He managed our Auto Body Repair facility, Abra, for a couple of years, before more recently joining the sales team. As a Sales Manager Jason assists the sales consultants in creating an enjoyable buying experience from start to finish. Building relationships with customers is an aspect of sales that Jason highly values.
Jason is from the area, graduating high school from Cresbard, SD. Jason and his wife Kathy are recent empty nesters as their youngest, daughter Taylor, graduated high school and is now attending college. Outside of work Jason enjoys tending his yard at Mina Lake, attending sporting events, spending time at the lake with his family, wife Kathy, children Tyler and Taylor and dog Hondo, or cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and Boston Redsox.
Landon Jondahl will be celebrating nine years with Aberdeen Chrysler Center. He is currently the new car sales manager after spending three years as a new car sales consultant. In his current role, Landon oversees the new car sales department which includes assisting in every new car deal from start to finish, along with ensuring the proper new vehicle inventory is available for our customers. He enjoys being in a winning atmosphere and part of a team. Landon is no stranger to the car business as his father has been in the business since 1981.
Landon and his wife Jessica our new parents to son, Beckett, have two dogs, a rescue named Banjo and a golden retriever named Marley. He and his wife enjoy vacationing in Las Vegas. A Groton native, Landon enjoys golfing and is a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan who has attended several games at the famed Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI.
Roger Dykema is a veteran member of the Aberdeen Chrysler Center sales team. He started selling vehicles in 2003 and has built up a loyal customer base in that time. He’s enjoyed the way the car industry has evolved and has continued to excel. Roger also serves as a Team Lead and assists in the mentoring of new sales consultants. He enjoys the challenges that each day brings and the team he is a part of.
Roger grew up on a farm near Westfield, ND and has been able to continue his love of farming and ranching with his own hobby farm. Outside of work Roger and his wife Rebecca thoroughly enjoy their hobby farm, as well as camping, horseback riding and are involved in 4H. He has five children: Brittany, Chase, Taylor, Regan and Rylan; two grandchildren: Hallie and Gayden; and several pets including dogs, cats, sheep, donkeys and a horse.
Justin joined the Aberdeen Chrysler Center sales team in 2016. With well over a decade of experience in the automotive industry as an automotive mechanic, he has a wealth of knowledge to bring to customers. In his position as a Sales Consultant, Justin assists people in various situations to find a vehicle that best suits their wants ad needs. He appreciates the face that everyone pulls together as a team and it’s like a big family. Justin truly strives to go above and beyond to exceed his customers’ expectations.
Justin is a 2001 Aberdeen Central High School graduate. When he is not working, Justin enjoys spending time with his family: girlfriend Sanchel, sons Charlie and Logan, and step children Jaidyn, Adrian, Alyssa and Auryanna. He also enjoys playing games outside, taking in a good football game and traveling to new places. Justin and Sanchel recently purchased their first home.
Jordan Fischer joined our team in the spring of 2016 as a sales consultant after owning his own online retail business selling bicycle parts. Jordan is an Aberdeen native and 2010 Central grad. In his role, Jordan is responsible for helping customers throughout the buying process from beginning to end. He enjoys helping people achieve their dreams of owning their first vehicle or upgrading to something nicer. When asked what aspect he enjoys most about the job, he said meeting and interacting with new people every day. His customers describe Jordan as “being easy to work with and not pushy.” He has knowledge of the mechanical side of vehicles as well which helps him answer a wide array of questions customers may have.
Outside of work, Jordan enjoys hunting, fishing and watching the Minnesota Wild. A fun fact about Jordan is that he raced BMX bikes for over 9 years and raced in national events all over the U.S. He still owns a small bike shop and helps kids with BMX racing. Jordan and his fiance Lindsey have a son, Ryder and a daughter, Quinn. They also have two dogs: a beagle named Margo and Lucy, a dachshund.
Chris Grey is an Aberdeen native and brings automotive experience to his position. In his role, he guides customers through the buying process and helps them find the vehicle that they want, can afford and fits their lifestyle. He is proud of the fact that he doesn’t push people into a sale. Being raised by a military grandfather and stubborn Irish grandmother who instilled manners and respect in him at a young age helps him gain the trust and respect of his customers.
Prior to Aberdeen Chrysler, Chris worked at another dealership in Aberdeen as an internal parts advisor. Chris enjoys meeting new people and really getting to know the customer while guiding them through the car-buying process.
Chris and Sydney have two children, Audrey and Adrian. He is loving the new role and enjoys watching them reach new milestones. Chris is also proud of his girlfriend Sydney for completing her RN degree while expecting their child. Chris and Sydney also have a cat named Simba, who he affectionately refers to as their “obese cat.” Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his growing family, cooking and attending local college football and basketball games.
Chris Gross brings 32 years of sales experience to the job; the last 23 of which have been here at Aberdeen Chrysler. Chris’ duties include helping clients select their new or used vehicle, as well as taking care of their needs after the sale is final. Chris says of Aberdeen Chrysler that he loves being around a great group of people who are dedicated to their careers and are committed to make sure they do their best to satisfy the customers.
Chris is married and has three children and three grandchildren. Away from work, he enjoys boating, fishing and spending time with his grand kids. Chris also keeps busy with owning two car washes and a storage unit facility. A unique hobby of Chris’ is collecting antique advertising signs.
John joined the Aberdeen Chrysler Center sales team in 2021. In his time here, he has enjoyed the camaraderie established with his co-workers and takes pride in helping customers find what they are looking for and then directing them to the right vehicle. He likes that every customer gets Aberdeen Chrysler Center’s Best Price every time, which makes the buying process easier for the customer. John’s background in insurance sales helped him grow and refine his communication skills.
John is from Blunt, SD and graduated from Sully Buttes High School. Northern State University brought him to Aberdeen. John is the first member of his family to attend college, an accomplishment he takes great pride in. He has a golden retriever named Zoey, cheers for the Chicago Bears and enjoys spending time with friends, playing games, or going on road trips in his free time. John possesses the unusual skill of a one-handed clap.
Brandon Lout joined the sales team in 2021. He previously worked in our Service Department, an experience that gave him a broader perspective on the automotive industry. His previous experience in retail along with his National Guard deployments have helped Brandon learn to adapt to situations and know the importance of being respectful to everyone. Brandon enjoys meeting new people and treating each person he meets with respect and professionalism while helping them find the car of their dreams.
Brandon is an Aberdeen Central High School graduate and serves in the National Guard. He also competes in BMX racing, finishing in the top 10 in the nation of the 21-25 age group. He has a black Lab/German Shepherd mix named Max and aspires to one day to have a family and home of his own.
Emmanuel Oseguera joined the Aberdeen Chrysler Center sales team in 2022. Originally from Gardena, CA, Emmanuel came to Aberdeen to attend Presentation College and graduated from there in 2018. His previous experience at New Beginnings helped him learn how to listen to people and understand what they are trying to get across. Emmanuel enjoys the advice he gets from his co-workers in real life situations and uses that advice to learn something new everyday to better serve is clients.
Outside of work Emmanuel enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children: Noelle (5), Roman (1 1/2) and Summer (4 months). He enjoys singing, soccer, reading and watching crime documentaries with his wife. Emmanuel loves being a father and teaching his children new skills while watching his them grow and develop. His favorite travel destinations are the zoos in Omaha, Los Angeles and the Aquarium of the Pacific. Emmanuel enjoys cheering on the Las Vegas Raiders, LA Lakers and the LA Dodgers.
Mike Spaeth is the newest member to join the Aberdeen Chrysler Center team as a Sales Consultant. In his position, Mike works with customers throughout the entire process. He likes getting the chance to meet new and different people everyday. His past experience as a bartender has helped develop his customer service skills.
Mike is originally from Blomingdale, IL and recently moved to Aberdeen from Denver, CO. In his free time, you can find Mike at home training his newly-adpoted dog, Piper, or hiking, biking, and rock climbing. Mike is good at cooking and an accomplishment he is most proud of his military service.
Tyler Stenger recently joined our sales team at Aberdeen Chrysler Center. He previously worked in our detail department throughout college as a Reconditioning Specialist. In his current role, Tyler works with customers throughout the entire buying process, as well as taking care of any needs after the sale is final. Since becoming a part of the sales team, Tyler has enjoyed the time he spends with his co-workers and helping customers get into the car of their dreams. Tyler’s four years of playing college football helped turn him into a great team player and working with others to reach a similar goal.
Tyler is from St. Louis, Missouri. He moved to Aberdeen to attend college and play football at Northern State University. In his free time, he enjoys fishing and hunting, as well as disc golfing. He also enjoys supporting his favorite sports team, the NSU Wolves Football team. Tyler’s favorite travel destination is Hawaii. He recently purchased a brand new Ram at the dealership and is loving it!
Ian Torres recently joined Aberdeen Chrysler as a Sales Consultant. In his time being here, Ian has enjoyed learning about the car industry. In his position, he works with customers throughout the entire buying process and assists with any needs after the final sale. Ian’s favorite part of this career is getting to talk to different people, finding out what they love, and helping customers get into a vehicle they love.
Ian grew up in Aibonito, Puerto Rico. This now happens to be his favorite travel destination. He recently moved into his own, new apartment in Aberdeen. In his free time, Ian enjoys playing video games and supporting his favorite sports team, the Los Angeles Lakers.
Jason Ulmer joined the Aberdeen Chrysler Center staff at the beginning of 2021. His previous experience as an advertising Sales Director for 10 years laid the foundation for a continued career in sales. He considers himself a “match-maker: helping match people to the right vehicle.” Jason is proud of his co-workers and what a great job they do taking care of both customers and fellow teammates. In his time here, he has already been told by customers: “You seem like you are doing exactly what you’re meant to do.”
Jason hails from Fullerton, ND and graduated high school from LaMoure, ND. He and his wife Genevieve have been married for 17 years and have three children: Grace (16), Landon (14), Jacey (8). They most recently moved to Ellendale, ND and have plans to move to Aberdeen this coming summer. As a child, Jason wanted to be a rock star, but is now content being an amazing cook, listening to good music, fishing and spending time with his family.
Christian Goetz came on board the Aberdeen Chrysler Center sales team in 2019. He had previously worked in our Detail Center as a Reconditioning Specialist during his high school years at Aberdeen Central High School. Christian has always enjoyed working on vehicles in his spare time, so the move to automotive sales was a natural fit. When asked what his favorite aspect of his career in sales is, he said, “Being around cars and getting to know people.” He also enjoys the work environment and the people that surround him on a daily basis.
When not working, Christian enjoys working on cars and hanging out with friends. He is currently building a Nissan 350Z from the ground up, which he hopes to keep him occupied through the winter. He cheers for the Minnesota Vikings, Twins and Timberwolves teams. Christian has a pitbull named Calvin and two sisters, Maddie and Katherine.
Chad Lyke has worked his way up the ranks in his over 29 years at Aberdeen Chrysler to his current position of fixed operations manager. Chad started as a sales consultant before being promoted to F&I manager, sales manager and eventually to fixed operations manager, where he has been for nine years. In his current role, Chad oversees the daily operations of the service department, as well as the body shop, parts, detail and accessories.
What Chad likes most about Aberdeen Chrysler is waking up every day and being excited to come to work, and the great people he gets to interact with. As one of the veterans on staff, Chad has seen many employees grow within, which is another aspect of the job he enjoys.
Away from work, Chad enjoys hunting, fishing, coaching and watching his kids play soccer. Chad is married to his wife, Denise, and has three kids, Tanner, Jaiden and Taylor.
Jeff Schick has been working at Aberdeen Chrysler for almost 30 years, making him one of our most-tenured employees. After working as a technician for his first four years, he was promoted to service manager where he has been working since. As the service manager, Jeff oversees the day-to-day operations of the service department, as well as being responsible for employee management, customer service, and manufacture relations. Not having any two days alike is what Jeff likes most about his job.
Outside of work, Jeff enjoys raising cattle, hunting, fixing broken stuff and spending time with his wife, Peggy, and daughters, Courtney and Jessica. As a certified pilot, Jeff also enjoys getting up in the sky and flying around the area.
Jeff Serfoss serves as the Parts Manager at Aberdeen Chrysler Center. Jeff joined the parts team back in 2013 and has been an integral member of the team since his arrival. Even though he came to the dealership with no automotive experience, he quickly picked up on everything necessary to succeed in his position. In his role, Jeff assists customers and technicians in receiving the correct parts for vehicle repairs. He also manages inventory, maintains relationships with vendors and oversees the overall operations in the parts department. He enjoys the working relationship he has with the automotive technicians on staff.
Jeff is a native of Aberdeen, graduating from Central High School. He attended and graduated from Lake Area Technical School before coming back to Aberdeen. Jeff and his wife Dawn have to adult children, Hunter and McKenzie along with two dogs: Mia, an Italian Greyhound and Cash, a black lab. Jeff and Dawn enjoy traveling to Miami to visit his son and daughter-in-law. He also enjoys the outdoors, participating in trapshooting, hunting and fishing.
Jackson joined the sales team at Aberdeen Chrysler Center in 2018. He is from the area having grown up and graduated from Groton, SD. Jackson attended SDSU before joining the sales staff. During his high school years, he worked in the maintenance and detail departments, making him familiar with many aspects of the dealership. In his role as Sales Consultant, Jackson assists customers in purchasing a new or used vehicle and does anything and everything he can to make sure his customers leave in a vehicle they are happy with.
In his free time, Jackson can be found gaming or hanging out with family and friends. He regularly attends sporting events and maintains a successful YouTube gaming channel. Jackson also keeps up with the NBA and NFL. He has two cats: Hoss and Bino.
Tanner became a member of the Aberdeen Chrysler Center sales team in 2019. Tanner chose a career shift from banker to sales consultant at Aberdeen Chrysler Center for the opportunities and challenges it provides, as well the variety each day presents. He enjoys being out and about with his customers and helping them find the right vehicle for each customer based on their particular wants and needs.
Tanner graduated from Aberdeen Christian High School in 2015 and decided to stay in his hometown to attend college at Northern State University. Taught a strong work ethic at a young age, he worked his way through his high school and college years serving customers at McDonalds and as a bank teller at Dacotah Bank. He finished his schooling at NSU with a degree in banking and finance and began his professional career as a personal banker in Roscoe, SD before following in his father’s footsteps and joining the automotive industry. Tanner’s father, Darren Droog, sells accessories in our accessory department Aberdeen Accessories.
Being raised on Mina Lake, Tanner still enjoys a good lake day. He also enjoys hunting, golfing and fishing. He has one pet, Sadie, a miniature American Eskimo.
Kaden Hoglund has been with Aberdeen Chrysler since 2008 and has served as a sales consultant, sales manager and is currently the New Vehicle Finance Manager. In his position, Kaden oversees securing financing for customers and offers products to enhance and protect the vehicle owning experience. Kaden will say that his favorite part about working at Aberdeen Chrysler is seeing a customer happy with their purchase, as well as the team atmosphere created by the great group of guys he works with every day. He loves helping any customer find the vehicle that they are truly satisfied with, and it is especially fun if it is the customer’s first new vehicle.
Kaden grew up helping out on the family farm, which he attributes to his strong work ethic. He also recognizes participating in athletics at Langford, SD contributes to his desire to continue to do his best for our customers. Kaden and his wife Danielle, a science teacher in the Warner, SD school district, have two daughters, Elise and Josie and a rambunctious black lab named Bo. Elsie is in the first grade, and Josie is looking forward to kindergarten in the fall. Outside of work, Kaden enjoys golfing, fishing, cheering on the MN Twins and Vikings, and spending time with his daughters.
Erin joined us in 2022 in accounting from the banking world. Erin believes in working hard and enjoying her time off with her friends and family. She handles accounting data entry and expense tracking to help us know our numbers. She helps us keep a great financial relationship with our vendors, making sure they are paid promptly for products and services. She also processes car deals in our database. She excels in a fast-paced environment with the skill and experience of prioritizing and finishing projects. Erin brings over 15 years of customer service experience.
Erin has always enjoyed numbers, both at Aberdeen Central and accounting classes prior to graduating from NSU. She has two beagles Dexter and Leo. She loves to be active and enjoys stock car races in the summer, bowling in the winter, taking the family (and the dogs) to Richmond Lake, and camping. She recently got a Ram 1500 that she’s looking forward to towing her camper out to the lake with.
Lexi Nelson recently joined our office team at Aberdeen Chrysler Center as our front desk receptionist. In her current role, Lexi assists and checks out customers, answers phone calls, scans dealership documents, and does miscellaneous office tasks. Lexi’s 9 years at McDonalds working with customers and 2 years in an office setting made her a natural fit for this role. Her favorite part about her job is the friendly work environment.
Lexi is an Aberdeen native and graduated from Aberdeen Central High School. She and her husband Dwayne, have three daughters: Elizabeth (6), Rylee (2), and Harper (7 months). They also have a chocolate lab named Duke. In her free time, you can find Lexi camping, fishing, playing with her kids. or spending time with family and friends. Lexi also enjoys photography. The accomplishment she is most proud of is becoming a mom.
Jessica has been a part of the Aberdeen Chrysler Center team since 2001. What began as a part-time night receptionist position turned into a full-time career. Jessica has held many positions at Aberdeen Chrysler Center in her 21 years of service. Currently she serves as Human Resources Manager, Office Manager, Warranty Administrator and whatever else comes her way on a given day. She enjoys the challenges and variety that come with working at a dealership.
Outside of work, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband Jason, their three children and their dog, Millie. She keeps busy attending their various sporting events and thoroughly enjoys being outdoors when possible, working on her yard and gardening. She also sings and plays piano for her church and community events.
Originally from Sioux Falls, SD, Scott attended college at Northern State University and obtained his degree in accounting before returning to Sioux Falls to begin his professional career in accounting. Prior to joining the Aberdeen Chrysler Center team as the Controller in 1992, Scott acquired a significant amount of knowledge about the automotive industry from his supervisor at his previous position with another auto dealer. In his position as Controller, Scott is responsible for the overall accounting functions and financial reporting for the dealership. He enjoys his co-workers and the fast-paced environment that consistently presents new challenges.
Away from the dealership, Scott enjoys riding his Trek bike, water skiing, sailing, windsurfing and working in his yard and on the house he affectionately calls “The Ponderosa” that he shares with his wife, Laura and their two dogs, Dolly & Ziggy. Scott and Laura have two adult daughters, Libby and Addy. As a child, Scott wanted to be a baseball player. In lieu of that career, Scott is an avid fan of the MN Twins. When baseball season is over, Scott enjoys watching college basketball.
